Yu Yi

Emerging Picture Book Author
A storyteller within the realm of picture books, Yu Yi was born in the mountainous city of Chongqing and currently resides in Guangzhou. Having previously worked as a Chinese language teacher and children's book editor, Yu Yi now dedicates herself entirely to the creation of picture books.

Yu Yi has garnered notable recognition for her outstanding works. "The Cat Who Visited a Million Cities" was featured in prestigious lists such as the "2019 Annual Chinese Children's Book List" and the "2020 China Picture Book Exhibition." "An Inch of Light," received the 7th Alice Picture Book Award and the Bronze Award for the "2022 My Favorite Children's Book." Additionally, "Thump! Thump! Thump!" earned the Text Creation Excellence Award at the 9th "Hsin-Yi Picture Book Award." These accolades underscore Yu Yi's significant contributions to the world of children's literature.

Wang Zumin

Renowned Children's Book Illustrator
Wang Zumin is a prominent Chinese children's book illustrator and editor. He has been actively involved in the field of children's literature since the founding of the Jiangsu Juvenile and Children's Publishing House in 1984 until his retirement. Throughout his career, Wang Zumin dedicated himself to both editing and illustrating children's literature, and he served as the editor-in-chief of a magazine.
With over forty years of professional experience in creating illustrations for picture books, Wang Zumin's works have consistently received recognition and numerous awards both domestically and internationally. His achievements include winning the UNESCO "Japan Noma Award," being selected for the 2016 Bologna International Children's Book Illustration Exhibition, receiving the 33rd Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award, and being featured in the 2021 Central Propaganda Department's themed publishing project. His books have been translated and published in multiple countries, contributing to the international dissemination of his creative endeavors.
Wang Zumin has also served as a judge for various domestic picture book competitions and professional art education contests. His lasting impact on the field reflects his dedication and excellence in the realm of children's book illustration.
