Lila Prap is a well-known picture book author and illustrator. She was born in Slovenia in 1955. Her works have been selected into Bologna Book Fair Illustrators Awards several times, and has also been honored the German Juvenile Literature Award. In 2006, she was a nominee for the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration and the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Her books are quite popular to adults and children worldwide.
